What is Summon 2.0?

True Web-Scale Discovery: Full-Breadth of Library Content.

Unprecedented transparency of content

We aim to provide unprecedented transparency to the breadth of the full-text searchable content available in our award-winning Summon™ discovery service. With new content sources added every week, and content updated daily, we are committed to maintaining and publishing this list of key databases and packages, as well as updated comprehensive lists of the serials titles and publishers.

Expand your library's collection with valuable, freely available repository content

Users can discover content from more than 39 open access archives and 257 institutional repositories from 73 different institutions representing more than 40 million records that have been ingested into the Summon™ service, most with full-text indexing. By making a concentrated collection of material discoverable from a multitude of disparate sources, the Summon™ service enables libraries such as yours to exponentially grow your collection to include these repositories at no additional cost, thus broadening your researchers’ experience to discover even more interesting and intriguing content.

Title-level analysis, customized for your library's journal titles

Complimentary analysis of your library’s journal titles against those in the Summon™ index is available. All we need is your list of ISSNs. This will tell you what titles specific to your collection are already covered in the Summon™ index. We are confident the Summon™ service will connect your researchers with the most comprehensive and relevant search results unbiased towards any one content provider.
