Description:
The Project Manager for Summon Implementation is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Summon product for each subscribing Client Library from start to finish, including workflow planning and management across the Library Client Services, Summon, MediaLab and Client Library teams and for delivering materially on the performance goals as related to the implementation timeline for Summon and the expectations set with the Client Library by the Sales team. This position will require in depth knowledge of the Summon product and the library community, as well as a proven record of project management in a software environment. The position reports to the Manager of Implementation and Training and will be located in the Serials Solutions Seattle office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage Summon Implementation projects end-to-end for subscribing Client Libraries
- Create project roadmap/milestone document for each new Summon instance
- Assignment of work items to appropriate team members
- Schedule and conduct initial Kick Off and final Hand Off meetings with Client Libraries
- Tracking and reporting to teams on performance goals and milestones
- Work with Product Managers and Development teams on product enhancements, implementation process tools, and market communications as needed
- Provide an environment for clients to be actively engaged in the implementation of their Summon product
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Update team roles and responsibilities as needed
- Be able to handle some implementation tasks, including account set up and client training
- Create product support materials and processes as needed to enhance product implementation and client training capabilities of company
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years Project Management experience in a software environment
- MLS or MLIS from ALA accredited institution, or equivalent library experience
- PMI Certification is desired
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to analyze problems and prioritize tasks effectively
