My Discoveries equips users with the richest social library content in the world - more than 21 million tags and 2 million ratings for almost 17 million books from the LibraryThing online community. Personalization features enable users to create lists of results and save them or make them public for other users to access. For example, patrons can publish and share their lists of recommended reading or reliable references.

This optional feature can be disabled to limit social networking to the host institution.
